When the 55th Salone del Mobile interior design show closed its doors on 17 April, almost 375,000 visitors had attended what is now regarded as the premier interior design show in the world. Evidence of the show’s increasing international stature was that the number of attendees was up almost 4% on the 2014 show – the last time the biennial kitchen and bathroom exhibitions took place. The visitors to the show, which included the Italian Prime Minister, Matteo Renzi, were treated to a truly stunning showcase of Italian creativity and manufacturing expertise.
