IMM 2016 – the style of things to come
As the first show to start 2016, IMM 2016 was an unqualified success. It is
estimated that 120,000 visitors attended the show – of which 80,000 were trade
– all of whom came to see almost 1,200 exhibitors from 50 countries display
new and exciting trends in design. Ironically many commentators identified that
the new trends on show were, in many instances, retrospective, with design
inspiration coming from the 1940s, ‘50s and ‘60s. And natural materials, colour
and great attention to detail were much in evidence too.
Two exciting shows to start 2016
As well as a very Happy and Prosperous New Year, Schiatti is looking forward
to it being an exciting year too! And January is very definitely an exciting month
for furniture and interior design, with two of the worlds most highly regarded
furniture design shows taking place; Imm Cologne 18 – 24 January and
Maison et Objet in Paris 24 – 28 January.
Two days of great Sleep
Sleep is Europe’s leading event for the world’s hotel design professionals.
At the Business Design Centre in London on 25 and 26 November 2015 will
be a spectacular exhibition of the finest products from the world’s leading
suppliers to the hotel sector. In addition to the many stunning products on
show there will be the opportunity to consider the innovations and exciting
new developments that will shape the future of the industry.
Milan 2015 – the greatest design show on earth!
As predicted by many, the 54th Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan was a
fantastic success; this year’s show saw over 2,000 exhibitors in attendance,
with over 310,000 visitors keen to view the stunning products displayed.
2015 Milan Furniture Show to build upon 2014 success
Milan will soon be home to the 54th Salone Internazionale del Mobile – the
leading international showcase for design and innovation in premium furniture
and interior design. The 2014 show was visited by over 300,000 visitors from
all around the world, and the 2015 show looks likely to build upon this
incredible success.

New retail displays to engage customers
The first half of 2014 has seen the installation of some new and very exciting
furniture displays in a number of leading UK stores, and with very good reason.
There is nothing quite like the opportunity for prospective customers to see and
touch the physical quality of a product. There is notable market research to
suggest that the tactile sensations experienced by customers can have a very
positive effect, creating a symbolic psychological ownership of a product and
driving a must-have acquisition, especially in respect of high-value purchases.
